I would much prefer to play every week rather than stop for two weeks now."
Joao Teixeira

While Brighton & Hove Albion boss Sami Hyypia might welcome the international break as a chance to spend more time on the training ground working with his squad, on-loan Liverpool playmaker Joao Teixeira would prefer not to have a two-week wait until Albion's next Championship fixture.*The midfielder, reflecting on the 1-1 draw with Watford on Saturday and looking ahead to the home game against Middlesbrough on Saturday 18th October, told seagulls.co.uk, "I want to play, I want to improve. I came here to play and am happy to play, it’s what I like to do. I would much prefer to play every week rather than stop for two weeks now.
"I think we had a great game on Saturday against Watford. We had chances to score. We made one mistake, they scored and we had to chase the result. I don't know why, but we always play better in the second-half. We need to score more goals.
"We have been creating a lot of chances in the last few games, but too often the ball has not got in. We have to practise and improve that and hopefully in the next games we will get some wins.
"We’ve got two days off now, training during the week and then a break next weekend. We’ll rest, prepare for the games and rest again and then hopefully start to win some games."

Teixeira is on loan with Albion for the season and has settled quickly - on and off the field - since his switch from Liverpool, and he added, "I’m loving it. Brighton & Hove's a nice city, has nice weather and I’m enjoying it."The Championship has a lot of quality, but it’s a physical league.
"I’m not bothered about where I play. I can play centrally, but when I have to defend I come to the right side or sometimes I play on the left side as well, but I’m not worried about that, I just want to play."
