It’s going to be a tough game with high energy, but we’re up for the fight."
Dale Stephens

Dale Stephens is expecting a tough encounter against Rotherham United today and is eager to erase the disappointment of the 1-0 defeat to Norwich City on Good Friday. The Seagulls sit five points and four places above the Millers going into the game, and the midfielder believes a win would put the team in a much better position as they aim to secure their Championship status for next season.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I’d probably say the game will be tougher than Friday; even though Norwich are playing to get back into the Premier League, there’s more pressure at the bottom. It’s going to be a tough game with high energy, but we’re up for the fight.
“I saw the home game [Albion drew 1-1]; the manager has got them working hard as a team. It's going to be a battle, but we’re looking forward to it.
“We’ve got a style of play that we’ll stick to and hopefully that will work for us on Monday.
“We’ve still got to play teams in and around us starting with Monday’s game, before we face Huddersfield as well. Hopefully we can look after Monday, get the three points there and it will look a bit more comfortable for us.”

LATEST NEWS FROM*SEAGULLS.CO.UK

The 25-year-old revealed that he is gradually working his way back to full fitness following almost ten months out of action with an ankle injury.“I’m managing it; there’s stuff I’ve got to do every day in the gym for it, but it’s probably going to be like that for 18 months. I don’t mind doing that as long as it keeps me fit.
“In games it feels fine. I’ve got to do a little bit of work before games and a bit afterwards but once it’s warmed up it feels strong.
“I’m hopefully not too far away [from full fitness]; that’s the hardest thing getting back to where it was before a long-term injury and it’s going to take time. It’s frustrating, but hopefully with every game I’m getting stronger.”
