Albion Women conclude their pre-season preparations this Sunday taking on Super League new boys Barnet at Worthing’s Woodside Road.It is the last chance for head coach John Donoghue to assess his squad before the league opener against Cardiff the following week.
The Seagulls have enjoyed a free-scoring summer to date, with comfortable 6-2 and 6-0 wins over Maidstone and Crawley Wasps respectively.
But this Sunday’s match promises to be a much tougher test, ahead of another long season.
Donoghue will have a largely full-strength squad to choose from; including new signings Charlotte Young, Cally Beaumont and Holly Wride, but Charley Boswell is an injury doubt.
Last season’s Manager’s Player of The Year, Lily Agg, is also expected to feature after recovering from a minor injury.
It is a 2:30pm kick-off at Woodside Road and there is free entry for all supporters.
