Brighton & Hove Albion women defender Sophie Perry has joined up with the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming European Championship qualifier against Finland in Dublin on Monday 21st September, kick-off 7.30pm.*
The team played a training game against Northern Ireland today and will now begin their preparations for the match at the Tallaght Stadium next Monday.

Manager Sue Ronan has named Perry as one of 23 players in the squad which will be reduced ahead of the Finland match.

The Finland game is Ireland’s first in the group, which also contains Spain, Portugal and Montenegro.

Ireland are third seeds behind Spain and Finland, with the group winners qualifying automatically for the Euro 2017 finals in Holland.

The six best runners-up from the eight groups will also qualify automatically, leaving the other two runners-up to face each other in a play-off for the final qualifying place.
