Brighton & Hove Albion forward Chris O'Grady has praised the strides made to combat racism in English football, but says it's important to continue to educate future generations of players and supporters.Speaking during the club's Kick It Out week of action, the striker told seagulls.co.uk, "Fortunately, incidents are only isolated, which speaks volumes for the progress made in this country.*
"While there are still isolated incidents, both on and off the pitch, we can’t rest on our laurels.
"There’s still the need to educate sometimes but overall there’s a lot to be positive about. We’re moving in the right direction.
“As long as progress is continuing to be made year on year, then that’s a positive thing."

The former Barnsley man also feels that the diverse nature of England has helped move people's attitudes forward.He added,“The fact that we live in a multicultural society now has helped and if things are being said on the terraces, then more often than not they are being reported.
"There are more faces from different creeds and colours in stadiums now which helps and which is also a good thing."
Kick It Out is football’s equality and inclusion organisation, working throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change.
The organisation is funded by The Football Association (FA), the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), the Premier League and the Football League.
A small independent charity, the ‘Let’s Kick Racism Out of Football’ campaign, was established in 1993 in response to widespread calls from clubs, players and fans to tackle racist attitudes existing within the game.
Kick It Out was then established as a body in 1997 as it widened out its objectives to cover all aspects of inequality and exclusion.
