
Brighton & Hove Albion under-21 midfielder Jeffrey Monakana has joined League Two Carlisle United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The winger, who arrived at Albion from Preston North End in January 2014, has joined the Cumbrians on a deal until 2nd May.

Monakana is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Seagulls but did spend the first half of this season on loan at Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen, before making six appearances in a separate loan spell at Mansfield.Carlisle currently sit in 20th place in League Two, four points clear of the relegation zone.
