As a member of the England Boccia [the Paralympic precision ball sport] team, he has been in Poland for the second international Boccia tournament.

Hayes, who has also played for Albion’s Powerchair football team, told seagulls.co.uk, “Ten nations and 43 competitors competed. The English squad squared off against teams from Croatia, Norway, Russia, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Poland, Germany and Slovakia.“I did extremely well to reach the quarter-finals which was my target after winning both my group games 13-0 and 3-2.”**

Earlier this year Tim represented England in a similar competition in the Czech Republic and he feels he can go on now and compete with the best players in the world.“Another experience on the international circuit for me gives me good grounding and makes me focus on what I need to do to enhance my potential.
“When it came to my quarter-final I kept it tight and there was only one point in it and I was really unlucky to lose 4-3 to the player that would go on and win gold for Norway in BC2 classification.”
