Brighton & Hove Albion manager Sami Hyypia says his squad are in good shape ahead of today's visit of Rotherham to the Amex and that his players are all raring to go ahead of the game.

Albion are currently going through a frustrating run of results, but Hyypia believes his players remained focussed and concentrated and that there are no nerves among the players.

He told seagulls.co.uk, “When I speak to the players here, there is nothing to make me think they are nervous or feeling down. It’s not a nice situation to be in, but there’s no reason to be nervous.

“It’s frustrating when you feel you have done enough to win the game, but still don’t get the three points; but that’s football and that’s life. You don’t always get what you deserve and you have to keep faith in what you are doing.”

“It’s not a nice situation to be in and I have thought about whether I need to change something in training or whether I need to say something different to the team.

“I don’t believe it’s got anything to do with luck, as you have to make your own luck in football. The players need to prepare themselves mentally and physically - and myself along with the coaching staff will help them to do that the best they can.

“It’s just the small details that are missing at the moment and we will do everything we can to improve every day on the training field. Once we get the little things right, then I hope we can force luck to be on our side."

Hyypia is considering what type of test Rotherham will provide and he is expecting a physical battle.
