Albion host the Terriers in their first home game since facing Wolves on New Year’s Day and Hughton is glad to be playing in front of the Amex faithful once again.

He said, "Overall we've been good away from home this season, which has been a real bonus for us, but of course if you have the opportunity to play home or away, you always choose to play at home.

“Also, our supporters have been exceptional and we’ve had really good support all season.

“They have had three tough away days in the last three games, so I'm delighted that they have the comforts of being at home and they'll be as good as they always are."

"The most important thing is that we are at home on the back of a win and we have to remind ourselves every now and again of what it takes to win a game in this division.

“Generally our level of performance has been good at home; if you take out the Middlesbrough game where they showed why they are top of this division at the moment, then you would say our performances in our last two home games have still been reasonably good.

“It's all about the fine margins of how to win a football match and we managed that on Saturday and we desperately want to manage that again this Saturday.”

Today’s game will be Albion’s last action for almost two weeks and Hughton insists the rare gap in games will be a good chance to assess where the team can improve going forward.

“We've had a few injuries and perhaps it's a good opportunity to bring everybody together.

"It gives you an opportunity to work with some of the injuries we've got and to go through the season as staff to see where we could have done better.
