Brighton & Hove Albion’s Paddy McCourt and Aaron Hughes have been named in Michael O’Neil’s 22-man Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming 2016 European Championship Qualifier away to Romania.
*
The Albion duo have kept their places in the squad following the side’s back-to-back victories over the Faroe Islands and Greece during the last round of international fixtures, although Hughes is a doubt with an ankle injury.
*
Northern Ireland currently sit top of Group F after securing three wins from three so far, as they look to qualify for their first tournament since the 1986 World Cup, and can open up a five-point gap over themselves and Romania with victory in Bucharest.

The fixture will be played in a partially closed stadium due to crowd troubles during Romania’s 1-1 draw with Hungary on October 11.

Meanwhile Seagulls captain Gordon Greer has been named in the Scotland squad for their qualifier against the Republic of Ireland and the friendly against England.

The centre-back made his competitive debut for Gordon Strachan’s men during their impressive 2-2 draw with Poland earlier this month, a result that left them fourth in Group D level on points with World Champions Germany and three points behind Poland and Ireland.[h=3]ALBION V WIGAN
