Brighton & Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed sees taking penalties as part of his role and says he was not nervous about stepping up to take the stoppage-time penalty at Fulham.
The Israeli international settled an engrossing contest at Craven Cottage, when he rolled the ball into the net in the 93rd minute to give Brighton & Hove Albion a 2-1 win.
He told seagulls.o.uk, “First of all it was my first goal so I am very happy, plus it was in front of Brighton fans - which was an amazing feeling.
“I was really confident that I could do it, as I usually have taken penalties in my career and I'm happy that today I could help the team get the win.
“For me, penalties are part of my job and I feel confident. I know what I need to do and of course today it was last minute against a very good team, but I knew that if I scored I would win the game for the team.
“I was really concentrating on what I needed to do and, just like against Sevilla, it was a moment where I needed to concentrate and do my best.”

Hemed was also thrilled that the side recovered from being pegged back by Fulham to go on to win the game and says the whole squad are pleased with how the season has begun.“Of course we are happy with the start. We work every day to be good in the games and it is just the start; it is still early days.
“But we know that with our shape* we can win games, and we've showed we give everything. We fight and give 100 per cent and we believe we can be at the top.
“First we want to keep a clean sheet but today, even though we started very well, the goal came after we controlled the game, but I'm happy that in the second half that we were able to come back and win. We need to remember to keep going to the end like we did today and in the cup.”
