It was great in the end to get back and get a draw, but I feel we more than deserved a victory tonight"

Gordon Greer is looking for a response against Nottingham Forest following the 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. The Scot admitted the players were not content with just a point against the Owls but has already turned his attention to the weekend.Gordon Greer
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We can play much better than we did tonight, so the boys are just looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we can put on a performance for the supporters and get the result that we want. We can’t wait for Saturday now.
“It was a frustrating night, I thought we started really well and had a couple of opportunities to go ahead, but we didn’t take our opportunities to score and we were punished at the other end.
“So it was great in the end to get back and get a draw, but I feel we more than deserved a victory tonight.”
Despite not taking maximum points, Greer still praised the side’s resolve for fighting back through Keith Andrews’s late strike.
“Obviously Wednesday had something to hold onto, so they’re 1-0 up and working hard for each other trying to hold onto the lead; so it was difficult for us to break them down.
“But credit to the lads; we’ve had a few opportunities to score and it was great to get the goal in the end.”
