Club captain Gordon Greer has put pen to paper on a new contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2014/15 season.The 32-year-old defender, who skippered Albion to the League One title in 2011, recently received international recognition; being named in Gordon Strachan’s last two Scotland squads.Oscar Garcia
Albion head coach Oscar Garcia admitted holding onto Greer was one of his priorities when he arrived at the club in the summer.

Garcia told seagulls.co.uk, “One of my targets when I arrived here was to keep Gordon here because he is the captain and he’s a leader. For me, he is very important this season.”
Greer has made over 100 appearances for Albion since joining from Swindon in 2010, finding the net twice.
