Brighton & Hove Albion captain Gordon Greer enjoyed visiting Worthing Hospital on Tuesday to deliver some much-needed festive cheer to the children ahead of Christmas.Greer along with David Stockdale and Jake Forster-Caskey delivered presents, posed for photographs and signed pictures for patients at the hospital’s Bluefin Ward on Tuesday.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s really good to do something like this because it keeps you involved in the community.
“It’s really important to be here at this time of year, because there a number of sick children who are unfortunate enough to be spending Christmas in hospital.
“We’re here to give a little something back and it was great that the children seemed really excited to see us. Hopefully it has made their day.
“We get to do a lot of activities in the community throughout the year, but I love to be a part of this one in particular. It’s important for the players and the whole club to be involved in this event.”

The Albion skipper then looked ahead to Saturday’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux and he is confident the side can turn a corner and get some vital points on the board.“It’s a tough game for us away at Wolves. The results haven’t been great of late, but it’s a good game for us and I’m sure it’s one where we can go and get a result.
“The lads are really excited and looking forward to the game; hopefully we can go there and get the three points.”
