Albion's defender will link up with Martin O'Neill's squad next month.
Brighton & Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova.Martin O’Neill’s side host Georgia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Thursday 6th October, before travelling to Chisinau for the match with Moldova the following Sunday 9th October.

It is Duffy’s first call-up to the national team since Euro 2016, where he was part of the squad that reached the last-16 stage of the competition.Ireland began their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-2 draw away in Serbia on 5th September.
