Gus Poyet is hopeful that right-back Bruno will be available for selection against Arsenal on Saturday but will discuss his situation with the medical staff.
The Spaniard has not featured since December owing to an Achilles problem, but is nearing a return.
Poyet told seagulls.co.uk, “I don’t know about Bruno at the moment, I will find out today. It will be nice to see if he can train with us but the situation has got to be right, considering the snow on the ground.”
Elsewhere, Vicente started his first league game of the season on Tuesday night after recovering from a thigh injury and Poyet confirmed he has had no adverse reaction.
“Vicente is alright. He’s tight and stiff because he hasn’t played for a long time but he’s available again which is good for the team.
“I made a decision to play certain players on Tuesday night against Blackburn but it didn’t work. We were a good team at the beginning and passing well but there was not an end product. When that is the case you need to have something else otherwise you will not win games.”
Meanwhile, Andrew Crofts will not be available on Saturday after picking up a hamstring injury.
The Albion boss also acknowledged that he has brought in a number of foreign players to the club, instead of paying an inflated price for English players, but he is confident that the club will produce more homegrown players once the new training ground is established.
“It won’t happen immediately but when we have the training ground it will take five, six or seven years for that to work for us. We respect the need for homegrown players and the players at this club who are 14 or 15 now we will make into better players. In five years' time Brighton will have British players coming through the academy.
“We need the pitch and the facilities every day and that’s coming in a year’s time.”
