Glenn Murray’s goal earned Albion a draw following Nathan Baker’s opener, and the Spaniard admits that an international break can make it hard to regain a winning habit.

He said, “We knew it was really important game for us, and after the international break it’s sometimes difficult to start again.

“We knew it would be difficult because Aston Villa are a big club with very good players. They have a lot of quality upfront and we didn’t have our best game.

“They were crossing a lot of balls into the box during the game and we had to stay focused.

“They’ve got good players and a manager that knows this league very well. It was very tough.”
