Bruno has urged his team-mates to control*possession*at the iPro Stadium on Saturday when Albion take on fourth-placed Derby County.Bruno
The right back feels the Seagulls will need to dictate play if they are to come away with a result.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “They’re playing really well and it’s a young squad so it’ll be a difficult game.*They want the ball, like us, so it’ll be a nice fight because the styles are quite similar.
“We will need to keep the ball as much as possible.*It’s really important over these next few games because around this time it can help decide where you are at the end of the season.*We need to win.”
Unbeaten in four, and having not conceded in their last two, Albion’s run has been boosted by a solid rearguard action, and the Spaniard praised the whole side for the defensive record.*
“We are all working hard and it’s not just the defenders.*Maybe we are more experienced at the back, but it’s key for a good season to be solid and that’s what we’re doing.
“Derby have good players up front so we really need to concentrate, but when we’ve played against the top teams so far we’ve played really well – not just the back four, but everyone was working really hard.
“I feel now is a good time to play against them, but you never know. Barnsley at home was the perfect time to play them and we lost, so you just never know with football.
“But hopefully we can win tomorrow. We are taking it game by game.”
Bruno also acknowledged the recent go-karting team-building session went well and can only help the togetherness in the squad.
“We enjoyed it. It’s important that we stick together, and be closer as a group.
“In our team everyone is really important and everyone has his role. So it’s important, from the first man to the last, that we have this approach and do our jobs.”
