Ashley Barnes is looking to add to his impressive goal record...
Ashley Barnes has scored 43 goals in 100 appearances for the Albion but despite his impressive tally, the striker is hungry for even more.Albion top scorer last season told seagulls.co.uk, “I’m happy with my record but I always want more and it is not going to be good enough until I get more.
“The position I have been playing is not really as a striker but I am in there and I should be putting away the chances I do get.
“At Huddersfield I had a glorious chance that I should have put away and I messed up, but that happens in football and I will get more chances, I just need to take them.
“You look at the misses and then it pushes you on, as you want to make it right for the next game.
“I have done alright so far this season but nothing too special. I have a few goals but not too many so far, so hopefully they will come soon and I will go on a bit of a run.
Albion welcome Dougie Freedman’s Bolton to the Amex this afternoon and Barnes is eager to prove himself against a former Premier League side.
“They are a massive club and it is brilliant for us as players and for the fans to play against ex-Premiership teams. It will be a good game and they have a great team. Freedman has just gone there and he will be trying to get into them, make them play the way he wants, so it is going to be difficult for us.
“It is good to test yourself against teams like Bolton because we all know we are capable of playing at that level one day, and that is where we all want to be.”
