Brighton & Hove Albion women goalkeeper Faye Baker insists the best is yet to come from the side ahead of today's match against Lewes at the Dripping Pan, kick-off 2pm. The Seagulls beat the Rookettes 3-0 in appalling weather conditions at Culver Road last week and Baker believes Albion are capable of producing a much improved performance.She told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s going to be a tough game because we played them the weekend just gone.
“It’s always difficult to play the same team twice because they know how we play and how we set up, but I don’t think we did ourselves justice in the first game due to the weather.
“They [Lewes] haven’t seen everything we’ve got to offer yet and I think we can provide them with a completely different test to last Sunday and hopefully we can get another win.”

“We always knew that they were a team that would battle, put in tough challenges, work hard and use their physicality.
“We’ll be expecting exactly the same from them this week, but I’d like to think we’ve got enough up our sleeves to cause them problems because we are a very talented team.
“We’ve been very lucky this week; a lot of girls are either teachers, at university, or capable of getting the time off work and thankfully the club let us do double sessions at the training ground on Tuesday and Thursday.
“We’ve been able to spend more time together as a group which means team morale is going to be high. It can only be a positive thing ahead of Sunday.”
Albion go into the game hoping to keep up the pressure on league leaders Cardiff and second-placed Portsmouth, with just a point separating the top three sides. Baker believes there will be plenty of twists and turns before the end of the season.
“Having been there with Gillingham last season, we know it’s a long hard season and anything can happen.
“Last season we were the favourites and were at the top for quite a while, but had one slip up and everything completely changed.
“That’s exactly how it is this season; you’ve got Cardiff and Portsmouth that have still got to play each other and hopefully both teams will drop points before the end of the season. It’s not easy to be up there and we need to make sure we’re hot on their heels.”
