The Albion Digital Stadium app, piloted at the home game against Bolton, has been updated in time for the game against Nottingham Forest - and the technology team from Sussex University will be on hand at the Amex.The TribeHive team will have a table at the Swan Pub from 3pm and will then be mingling in the North Stand from 4.30pm until kick-off.
They will be armed with laptops in order to pass out the app for those that want it. They will also be in the West Stand at half time where the app began its development last season.
At the Bolton game 338 fans used the app and the network that was formed managed to serve 4006 pages to people who were experiencing limited internet connectivity on their phones.
The key is that the more fans that are using the App the more efficient it becomes!
Currently the app is only available on Android phones but an iPhone version being planned for later in the autumn.
Fans who have an Android phone and want to see what all the fuss is about go to ww.digitalstadium.mobi and find out all the information about the app and how to download it.
It works like a regular app but with the added value that if you are at the stadium for home games the app becomes part of a network with other Albion app users.
This means that app pages can be shared around and fans may be able to get the pages even if there is no internet connection on the supporter’s phone.
