There was more good news for AITC after the charity was short-listed in the Best Football Community Scheme Non-Premiership category in the Football Business Awards.
AITC is up against similar schemes from Derby County, Fulham, Sutton United, Kew Park Rangers and the Football Foundation. More details are available HERE.
Last week was the first ever European Week of Sport and AITC encouraged fans to get active, with Gary Townsend, the charity’s chief operating officer, telling Seagulls fans: “Whether it is going for a walk, dusting off your bike and heading out for a ride, going for a swim or getting together with some friends for a kick-a-bout in the park, it would be great to see Brighton supporters getting active.”

AITC has also recently launched a new project aimed at helping people living with, or after, cancer to stay active.AITC’s own Siobhan Meaker is taking a lead on the project and spoke to AITC’s website about her own experience of staying active during cancer and how she hopes to use this to help others.

AITC also took centre stage on Seagulls fan radio show the Albion Roar – with Nikki Richardson, the charity’s disability manager, interviewed alongside Matt Francis and Jadey Yesilada in an hour-long AITC special.
