Brighton & Hove Albion fans are being given the chance to see the Rugby World Cup trophy up close at the Amex this afternoon (Tuesday 1st September).
Albion in the Community (AITC) is hosting the visit along with local wheelchair rugby team the Brighton Buccaneers. AITC coaches have been helping the Buccaneers recruit new players and there will be a wheelchair rugby demonstration at the stadium this evening. More information is available online HERE.
AITC’s health team has launched its latest project – this time in partnership with Mid Sussex Wellbeing. The scheme is aimed at preventing an increase in type two diabetes and more information, including how to sign up, is on the charity’s website HERE.

Prior to the home game with Blackburn Rovers, Albion fans were asked to donate an old cap or sun hat which could then be given to the city’s homeless population. Volunteers collected 156 hats and more information is online HERE.Albion first-team players Liam Rosenior and Glen Rea took time out of their busy schedule to host a question and answer session with young players on AITC’s recent football residential. The course is designed to give talented youngsters an experience of what it is like to live life as a professional footballer. More information is online HERE.
