Children are advised to wear suitable training clothes and footwear to the coaching sessions. As part of AITC's aim to increase and maintain female participation in football, the Saturday morning clubs at Preston Park are exclusively girls-only.
By introducing schemes and events more focused to combating low female participation, the charity has been able to increase girls’ participation in its programmes from zero to over three hundred girls a week since 2011.
