Answer: Tamla Motown - started on this day in 1959.

What a day: football, Motown, beer - even Daisy was nice to me today... Man, I swear it's going to start raining chocolate in a minute.

Anyway, Radio 2 has Motown on until 5pm - which begs the point in yet another one of NSC's musical conundrums; which are your five favourite Motown singles?

Mine...

Virtually everything by 4 Tops
Virtually everything by Stevie Wonder
Virtually everything by Marvin Gaye
Virtually everything by Smokey Robinson
Virtually everything by Diana Ross & The Supremes

Is that a cop out?

BTW - quiz question, what is the Motown song link with one of Albion's players?

Not utterly convinced that was on Motown. Although they did record for them in the 1960s, including a rendition of 'Grapevine' before Marvin. MTTG was released on Buddah here in about 1976.
