Hello,

Can anyone kindly help me please, I am looking to move from out of town into the Portslade, Hangleton or Hove area. But I am unsure what the best infants schools are in this area, as this will no doubt have a bearing on our move as I have children. If anyone knows of a link to results or performance tables or is from this area and can give some advise that would be very useful and very much appreciated.

Thank you,

SnT

My kids go to the mighty Goldstone primary School in Hove and have no complaints. Most schools round here in Hove are pretty full so you may have a problem. Hangleton is OK but wasn't mad on West Blatch at the time but may be different now. Further west, St Nichs on the Old Shoreham rd isn't too bad by all accounts. you need to visit, best way to decide1

I'd be wary of just using league tables as a guide. When we moved to Brighton, school was an important factor for us too. In the end, we moved to Coldean even though the school was in the bottom half of the table. But we read the full Ofsted report and that was encouraging to us and were happy for our kids to go there. We've not been disappointed: it may never be a top school in Brighton but the teachers are excellent, the kids are happy and enjoy learning and that's good enough for us.
