I used to read FHM for about 18 months. Then I realised that it was basically the same articles every month. I also get a bit bored of reading about some new blonde with big tits.

The better articles were about the more everyday stuff. Like piles and Grubb Smith.

Loaded used to sell 500,000 copies a month in about 2001, but then they fell due to the scorn the media poured on the lad culture that they encouraged

FHM (and indeed Nuts and Zoo) is just as laddish and still sells very well.

The non-laddish men's mags - ie GQ and Esquire - are struggling.

3/4,s of the mens mags are adverts for items I could never afford like, sports cars and rolex watches.

mags like FHM & Loaded are just soft porn, migh as well buy ~Club international

if I ever buy a mag ,its mostly GQ, abit more for grown ups and more tasteful pics of women.

I once spoke to the finance director of EMAP (publisher of FHM) about why he say the need to ape Loaded and publish soft porn. He said "They're different: Loaded is a lads' magazine while FHM is a blokes' magazine"

That's that sorted then.
