Hello all,

I'm off to Madrid for 5 days on Friday.

Has anyone been before and could recommend any must sees?

Is the Bernabeu worth a visit?

Cheers muchly

Real Madrid is a must for all footy fans. Go and visit the trophy rooms. Nearly as big as Withdean itself. If you get time go to the mountains in Toledo(about 30mins from Madrid) very beautiful.

I'd reccomend Real Madrid! Not a great atmosphere but the ground more than makes up for it! I never really watched the game, I found myslef just looking around thinking F**king hell!

Night life in Madrid is also superb! Lounge around until about 10:00pm go out. Have a meal. Then party until 6:00am!

Bernabeu is a beautiful stadium, atmosphere is dull. Unless they are playing Barca or a big European tie. Atletico is also a great stadium, the atmosphere is great whoever is in town.

Just realised the football season doesn't start for a few weeks so thats that f***ed!

Toledo is beautiful. La Latina in Madrid is great. Do the touristy places like PLaza Mayor and El Retiro. Its not massive, perfect for a weekend trip.
