Bush's hometown newpaper the Lone Star Iconoclast endorsed John Kerry for President. But, the shocking part is the aftermath

The letters page makes some interesting reading, like these gems:

am embarrassed and sad that someone who names his paper after the great State of Texas (LONE STAR) could have the audacity to take a public position against our President. President Bush and the first Lady represent everything real TEXANS and CHRISTIANS stand for today. I cannot understand how anyone in your community could ever buy an ad or one of your papers again. Please think about what John Kerry represents as compared to President Bush and hopefully you will make the decision to honor your home by supporting OUR PRESIDENT

I so hope Kerry kicks his arse in the debate tonight.
I've been listening to Simon Mayo on Radio 5 all week who has been broadcasting from Texas.
It sounds like its close, but Bush is in front and Kerry has finally got a bit of momentum, if he wins this debate and even better Bush messes it up in a big way, Kerry might have a real chance.
I think this election is more important than our own.
Come on Kerry, this is really important, kick that fecking Texan twat into touch.
