O/T: Digital cameras

Brought a digital camera yesterday, after taking a few pics the batteries died, I presumed that they where just old as they came with the camera so I went out and brought some more. Took about another 30 pics last night and then turned it on again this morning and the bloody things are flat.

Is this normal?

yep, the 'standard' bateries you get generally don't do the biz, get NiCad they will last for ages, may cost you a bit more but its worth it and you may depending on ya camera be able to get a NiCad charger + battery pack for it. I use Ni-Mh rechargable AA in my Pentax cheepish to buy with the charger and they last about 10days, in a holiday environment !!

This is all you need mate, I have this setup, the 2000maH is more than enough power to give you the brightest flash, they take about 14hrs to charge and will last over a week with everyday use

And looks like you get a free car charger with them now as well

dubiouscell run down way too quickly, even with screen switched off - asda or maplins could be best, for charger and batts...

4get non charhgeable batteries unless u wanna pop to shops every day to replace them and carry spare rechargeable batteries as digital cameras tend to burn then up quickly

Try www.kelkoo.co.uk. It's a price comparison site with some good prices on there.
Either that or have a look on E-bay but be careful and check descriptions. Some are not perfect models.
