My Konika was about 60-70 quid, with a 20 quid memory card, it's not bad at all, about the cheapest that I'd seen with a screen on the back.

Get one of the Digital Camera magazines (what Digital Camera?). Find out the cost of the camera in Park Cameras in Burgess Hill and ask the shop to match the price. Even if they come close, it could have save the hassle of going to Burgess Hill. My shop in Worthing (easier to park than Brighton) would not match the Park Cameras price but would match Jessops in Brighton. Knocked £90 of the price (down from £300 to £210).

Gawd knows which model is best? I got a Pentax but it is not the best, not the worst either.

There are some very good POCKET digital cameras with 2m+pixels now.

I'd look at those if you want to take it out and about every day/night.

It's hassle taking full-size cameras to clubs etc.

I've got a pocket one, 4m+ pixels and video and sound stuff, a FUGI for £300. Very happy with it.

It's about the size of 3 Minidisks on top of each other.
