Same size in distance, withdean has six lanes though, and the paris one is eight lane, but the inside lane in all full size tracks is 400metres

Thanks for replies - track in Paris on TV looks so much bigger, but I think it's the same effect as at Wimbledon (tennis) i.e. we know what size a tennis court is, but always looks much bigger on TV when there are stands around.
