Anywhere but the Circus Circus buffet. In fact, CC in general. Anywhere off the Strip is a bit grim - Grand Canyon's easy to get to. Thought Vegas was a bit crap ... there was only so much gambling I was able to manage, although made a small profit.

I'd find a nice lady in NY then take her to Vegas.

You can't go wrong:

Grand Canyon at dawn by chopper. Amazing.

Beware the hotels in Vegas - took me about half an hour to find reception when I was in Vegas, a tiny check-in desk tucked away in the corner of a huge casino. Was almost like the accommodation bit was an after-thought.

NY is totally amazing (see other thread).

Worth leaving as early as possible for the Canyon, so you're able to walk at least some of the Bright Angel trail. Indian Gardens is about 1 1/2 hours down.
