NSC to sponsor Sunderland match Feb 19th

Everyone.

North Stand Chat are sponsoring the home game vs Sunderland on Sat February 19th.

This will be an excellent opportunity to practice your comedy Geordie accents in front of the away team Directors.

It is also a top day ooot.

The cost per person is £220. I think of it is a donation to the club for which they say thank you with a meal with wine, North Stand match ticket in front of the Directors Box, the chance to choose Man of the Match etc etc.

This year match sponsors are also being given a signed framed shirt which we will draw lots for among the 16 match sponsors.

Oh dear Lush ..... Mackems (Sunderland people) ARE NOT Geordies, neither do their accents even sound Geordie. Bit like comparing a Hampshire accent to an East Sussex one!
So if you really want to wind them up ... sing the Blaydon Races and make out they really are Geordies!!!!!!

Indeed they're not. I have loads of Geordie ancestors, who consider mackems to be soft southerners.

Although, rather alarmingly, I have recently discovered that I have loads of Sunderland ancestors as well.

Best I drink several pints of pre-match Harveys to stiffen my resolve to support the Albion on 19 February.

The well-supported stereotypes up here are that Geordies are beer-swilling, wife-beating thugs and all the Geordie wimen are "Dogs".

Whereas Mackems are unwashed burglars and car thieves. And that all Mackem wimen are "infected".

Quite a difference!!!!!!!!!!
