NSC scores another own goal

Paul Brooker to rejoin Albion!"

That's been the story doing the rounds on NSC for the last few weeks. Deal done apparently, John Keeley said it.

So what happens last Friday? Aforementioned paperweight winger joins READING on a two year deal. Good work, NSC. Yet again people are led on a wonderous tale of hope, only to have their hopes shattered and dreams destroyed (though why anyone would dream of Brooker rejoining us is beyond me).

NSP doesn't deal in rumours, nor does it care for half-truths. NSP is only interested in FACT, and consistently delivers more accurately, and more promptly, than it's 'big brother'.

In the last year NSP has broken such stories as the design of the yellow away kit, Leon Knight signing on permanently, Mark McGhee joining as manager and the arrest of an Albion fan at Euro 2004, both before NSC and with cast iron accuracy.

In the same period of time NSC has claimed that Andrei Kanchelskis/Paul Gascoigne/Iwan Roberts would be signing, Falmer has been approved/rejected/forgotten about, the new seats at Withdean will be in by Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter and Charlie Oatway is a half decent midfielder.

As the new season fast approaches, how many more times will NSP own NSC as the big stories break? Whatever the figure, you know where you need to be.

NSC may have the numbers, but NSP has the nouse and inside knowledge to bring YOU all the Albion exclusives you need.

NSP - So much more than just a bunch of kids swearing.

To be fair Steve, NSP also does not deal with the Albion, and I love it all the more for that.

I think Richie Morris scored this own goal single handed and he's one of your NSP moderators (allegedly), so was this an NSP plot to discredit NSC

It was me that said about Paul Brooker and this did come from John Keeley. Couldn't keep to myself but obviously this hasn't happened.

You can't fault Safeway's logic here, how on earth did North Stand Chat's reputation ever recover from this absolute shocker of an embarrassment of a debacle? I think we NSC'ers have to acknowledge that NSP would never drop clangers like this.

Wondered how long it might take for you to pipe up. :lolol:

However, for an intelligent bloke LI, you sometimes allow your over-eagerness to discredit NSP and myself to get in the way of producing a well-constructed argument.

What you are referring to in the above is personal opinion. At no point did I say the season definitely WAS over, because obviously nobody knew for sure what was going to happen.

A pity really, because if you had dug just a little deeper you could have easliy made me VERY silly, a la: http://www.northstandchat.biz/showthread.php?threadid=2532. :jester:
