Just read this on another site:

BRIGHTON BEAT US 2-0 FAIR PLAY.

THEN, THEY BEAT UP AN INNOCENT FAN, BLOOD PISSING OUT OF HIM. THE BULLY SCUM GOT NICKED, IF YOU WANT TO BE A TOUGH LAD, EITHER FIGHT REAL LADS, OR LIKE ME GET IN A f***ing RING ONE ON ONE AND f***ing PROVE YOURSELF, INSTEAD OF HIDING BEHIND YOUR MATES YOU SCUM.

I WOULD'NT NORMALLY SAY THIS BULLY BOY SCUM, BUT I HOPE YOU GO DOWN FOR THAT YOU SCUM.

ALSO BEFORE YOU SLAG ME OFF, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, LUTON DID'NT HAVE A FIRM IN QUEER LAND, THERE WERE A HANDFUL OF US IN A PUB, THEN THIS BIG NOSED ****, WITH HIS BRAND NEW AQUASCUTUM, JUMPER MUMMY BOUGHT HIM, WALKED ROUND THE PUB, NOT TOO OBVIOUS BEAKY, SAYS, THERES THIRTY OF US ROUND THE CORNER, DO YOU WANT IT? YOU SAD ****, O/B STOOD ALL AROUND, LISTENING TO YOU, YOU GET A SECTION 60, AND GET A SLAPPED WRIST, AND TOLD TO f*** OFF.

LISTEN MATE, THERE ARE A LOT OF BIG BOYS OUT THERE, YOU AINT ONE OF THEM, YOU AND YOUR MATES WERE f***ing EMBARRASSING, WHY DO THESE ****s GIVE IT THE BIG ONE, WHEN THERE'S PLOD EVERWHERE?

IF YOUR NOT GONNA GO FOR IT, DONT f***ing BOTHER.

LAST RANT, IF YOUR READING THIS SCUM BULLY, I HOPE YOU GO DOWN, I'D LOVE A LITTLE DANCE ON THE PAVEMENT WITH YOU ON YOUR OWN.

Could be bollocks but not veyr impressive if it isnt is it? If you read between the obvious ladish talk and bravado then you get that a Luton fan was very badly beaten up when not looking for trouble. It happens everywhere but its a shame.

 wtf oh its in another country - queerland!

If this did happen, then I am shocked. I have never seen problems like this from Brighton fans starting on others (Palace being an exception). I would say our fans are one of the best behaved in the country.

If this did happen, then I agree with the poster - he is scum!

Saw a few police cars speed past sirens blazing at the end as well. Still, Luton are known as being a bit mouthy so I wouldnt assume this bloke was as innocent as the poster makes out..could be, but dosnt mean he is.

I think we have some problem fans just like most clubs we are definitely not whiter than white.

I did see someone with a nosebleed on the way back to PP station but didn't know whose "side" they were from. The situation seemed to be under control and the police were talking to someone about it.

Also saw a group of about twenty being told, "I'm arresting you all for breach of the peace. You do not have to say anything......." so clearly it was an eventful day but why Luton? I didn't realise we had any kind of history with them.

In fact there's a chant mentioned on Timco's site, something along the lines of "My old man said be a Brighton fan and don't dilly dally on the way, we took Luton in under a minute, went down to Pompey and walked straight in it......"?

There was ONE FAN WITH A NOSEBLEED. Anybody walking back from the match saw the bloke. Get a grip folks. Hardly addresses the central issue of OB swanning about OTT on double time Bank Holiday payments. Ever get the feeling you've been had? (again) :dunce:

After the game walked back to the bus that picks us up to take us back to the Preston Park Tavern at the bottom of Surrenden Crescent, saw the guy with the bloody nose across the road with police and vans around him.Asked the bus driver what happen(was it an fight between rivals) and he said that the guy was actually hit by a copper's stick cos his group were being a bit loud!
don't know if he was a Albion fan or Luton fan but his group did not in anyway resemble your classic hooly................

History with Luton? Are you kidding? Yes of course we have. It was the '69-'70 season in division 3 when they got promoted by finishing second and we ended up fifth after leading the table after 41 games with them in fourth place. Malcolm Macdonald's car with his baby inside almost got turned over by Brighton patriots. It was a really big thing to rival Palace, (with whom our rivalry only really started to re-ignite in modern times in 1974), in intensity if not duration. (With Luton out of the picture, Bournemouth bore the brunt of our venom in the '71-'72 season). I truly thought that the general tension amongst the Luton supporters yesterday was a throw back and was quite surprised that the Brighton singinging sections didn't make more of it. You have to remember that the original debarcles all happened just post skin-head. These traditionally attired individuals arrived on the scene in any number for the first time on the seafront on Easter Monday 1969 and in a non football related sense proceeded to ape the "antics" formerly associated with Mods and Rockers or Greasers as they had by that time come to be recognised. These were relatively violent times. On mass, football matches and all that went with them provided the natural focus for anti social behaviour away from the beaches on warm days in the days prior to the authorities having got any real grip on the situation due to its scale. Against this background, the Luton/Brighton thing certainly wasn't just about people getting nose bleeds, unfortunate as yesterday's incident may have been.
