Enough is enough!
The team may be playing well but is that enough for £22+ per ticket? sitting in the rain,in a pokey stadium,in division 2.Surrounded by empty seats because they can't be bothered to sell tickets at the gate, and yet they still keep asking me to part with more and more money.Greedy players earning more in a week than I earn in 6 months.Child size shirts stop at 10 years old so you have to pay adult prices for a 12 year old. They don't let you buy away tickets for people who want to see the odd game unless they part with an extra £10 for the privelige.
I have been a season ticket holder for many years (including Priestfield) and I have decided not to be ripped off and treated as 2nd class any more.
£10 for adults and £5 for kids gets you premiership rugby with Internationals and world cup winners on display!I recently saw Will Greening, Austin Healy, Neil Back, Andre Vos,Jason Leonard and World cup winning captain Martin Johnson all on the same pitch for just £15(price for 2 tickets!) with my nephew. That's why next season I am buying a season ticket for The NEC Harlequins (just £99) and be back at Albion games when they have sensible prices and remember that we are customers and not an inconvenience! Also it is great not to have to expose children to constant offensive language and mingle with opposing fans in a friendly way without the need for segregation!I'm going to miss you all!

Brighton 'till I diet!

yeah, don't bother coming back. Rugby is nothing compared to football. You know it really. You will come crawling back when we get Falmer and I will say:

WHERE WERE YOU WHEN WE WERE A RIP OFF!!

Part time supporters etc.

ziggy, just noticed you live in Hastings. I used to live there and know that it takes the same amount of time to travel to the Priestfield as it does to Brighton so you are proving nothing by saying 'I went to Gillingham'. And don't say 'i am great because i travel from Hastings every match' cos I used to as well and it isn't that hard!!

has the price suddenly gone up? no. why bring it up again?

Oh my god, the club i love want a *whole* £10 in order for me to be a member of the AMS. onec, not every year like any other type of club.

Sit down and shut the f*** up.
:salute:

all i think ziggy is saying is he cannot afford to support the albion, although he would like to. i think he makes very valid points. its shame more people dont see this then football wouldnt keep ripping off the fan. its a working class game in a middle class society. now that is wrong. when i can afford to go i will. but that isnt when i want to go and watch the albion. i want to watch every game. but im sorry i wont be spending anything on watching rugby.

Well ziggy deemed it necessary to also post on the official site message board why he was poncing off to go egg-chasing - so here's the response I posted on the official site message board

'Ziggy - it's expensive for a reason. Unless you're a total idiot you'll know that reason. Look at it as a seventeen quid ticket and a fiver donation to ensure the Albion continue to exist for your kids and your neighbour's kids. And their kids. Nobody's getting ripped off, nobody's getting rich. And you get a free rail/bus ticket thrown in that's valid over a decent area. The last season we were in Div.2 - when we went up into Division One as championes - we could have sold a MINIMUM of five thousand extra tickets every home game. That's a MINIMUM of a hundred grand going into the club every home game. But we didn't. And we can't. That's why your ticket costs what it costs. None of us likes it. Who would? But at leaast we know the reason we're being charged what we're charged.

See ya!'

Assuming Harlequins play somewhere in London (I'm not up with this egg chasing lark) how much is it going to cost to get there each week? By the time you add that on, it ain't going to be much of a saving.

I hope you'll be hapy with your new 'blue stratos' drinking wanker friends called Tarquin!!!

Harlequins play just up the road from Twickenham and it does cost a bit to park round there. In addition, Hastings to Twickenham is a fair old hike

Maybe I won't miss so many of you as I thought. 1 or 2 of you have good, sensible answers but the rest are just the sort of neanderthals who go around beating the crap out of anyone who doesn't support the same team as you and got the away members scheme imposed in the 1st place. You pay your money, you take your choice. And thanks for the picture Incredigull that pit a smile on my face.
