In light of the new Inquiry that will be examining the case for each of the 7 supposed alternatives to Falmer, would it not be a good idea to organise NO campagins for each site?

If 50 residents and a few other supporters can make Falmer sucha tough desision, imagine what the might of the BHA faithfull all signing petitions for each and every alternative would do for their chances.

Many of the alternatives can be written off straight away in any case (best example being Brighton Station), but some, inparticular Toads Hole and Waterhall, might present more of a challenge.

Yeah I was thinking on these lines. Surely the NIMBYs have all got to get together and put up a united front and say "The best place for a stadium is ....." Otherwise you're going to get the Falmer villagers saying Waterhall, the Greens saying Withdean, Withdean residents saying Toad's Hole, the Hove lot saying Shoreham Harbour, Shoreham residents saying Brighton Station etc etc. Otherwise their individual opposition will be seen for what it is - blatant, narrow, misguided, self-interest.

That was exactly my interpretation of their performance during the public inquiry, judging by notes on the proceedings I read. They all had their individual views of what would be better than Falmer but there wasn't a single alternative that they all agreed on. Let's start some infighting between these various factions!!

Hove actually
But I happen to prefer Waterhall...always have done for years now. :D Now, realistically Waterhall aint gonna happen :( and that will be via sheer weight of conservationists and not resident power. Bottom line is that nowhere other than the Greyhound stadium is going to hold water. Let's see what the nimby's come up with!

Which is why today is sooo good for us.
