leading on from the absolutely stupidly pointed thread 'nicolas thanks but no thanks chelsea' or whatever it was called i would just like to point out that today nicolas was one of our best players AGAIN like he has been for the last few matches. how people can not appreciate how much this young player has worked our midfield amazes me. he makes time and space on the ball and has a sensible head on those shoulders. he plays it wide and does not fire it in the air at knights face every time.

for the good of the team we HAVE to make this a permanant deal. what a influential player he will prove to be imho and i cant wait to have him in the stripes permanantly

also a big well done to young hammond today. showed the same battling qualitys as alexis and sure to be another well matured midfielder. did nothing stupid and many things well!!

:clap2: :clap2:

the good times are here now and here to stay...trust me!

I hope you are right that the good times are here to stay. I am optimistic but there is always an element of doubt after the last four games. Come on Brighton!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

He chases everything, he challenges back and he stays on his feet. He'll do for me.

Nicholas is now showing what a superb player he is. We must sign him permanently as soon as we can. He looks better and better.

Yes please.

Chelsea don't need him and he is good for us.

No it wasn't, Finbar, you pointed our real areas in his game where he has to improve if he's going to stay with us. Thankfully, he was much better today, I think I counted 3 forward passes and two tackles that were won. One very fine pass in particular that set Leon free.

But if McGhee does go back to the direct tactics of last season, then Nicolas is not the guy we need in central midfield because we need fierce ball-winners there to keep our back 4 out of trouble. I would give Nicolas a go on the left of midfield as McGhee is clearly not yet convinced by Jarrett's end product and defending, and Jonah didn't seal the spot either today despite his hard work.

Good man LI, a balanced and fair view. I was genuinly surprised today at his perfomrance and wonder if the reason it had been so poor previously before was cos we had been playing very very good midfielders which might be the case. I would love to be here next week (although we're not playing) and the next 32 weeks saying he's the best. And if he is, i will be. Rounds of applause please for Alexis Nicolas (better), Danny Cullip (hero), Darren Currie (delivery), Adam Virgo( secret Shearer), Kely Holmes (Herione), All the lads of the 4 * 100 Metres (WTF doers Micheal johnson know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
