Great news. I only hope it ends in a permanent deal.

Nicolas Signs On Loan

By Paul Camillin

Mark McGhee has completed his fourth new signing of the close season - by adding midfielder Alexis Nicolas, on loan from Premiership Chelsea.

The 21-year-old Cypriot under-21 international has signed a three-month deal - which could become permanent - and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Reading.

He said, "I'm delighted. It's a great club with a lot of history, and the boys are great. We're in the Championship this year so there's a lot of ambition, the manager's great and has a lot to offer to the club, and hopefully he can help me."

Nicolas - who completed his apprenticeship and signed pro forms at Aston Villa before joining Chelsea - played a handful of games under Claudio Ranieri, but has found his path to the first team blocked by the Blues' big-name midfield players.

If he does Coppell will jump in and buy him

Ian Holloway thought he'd done that with Leon Knight but we won that time.

I reckon he'll ask Leon about it.

I bet he does fantasically well for us during his loan period, then some other club will buy him.

The same as what happenned to Steve Sidwell!

On the other hand he could be a load of shit and simply cant hack it in the Championship
