Nice piece by Jonathan Pearce on The Albion in today's Sunday Mirror

His first love is Bristol City, but his wife (and her family as well, apparently) are all Palace season-ticket holders. So they have become his 'second' team. He said all this on 606 sometime last year. It was as a semi-follower of Palace that he got to know Stevie, whom he now calls one of his closest friends in football.

I'm a little ambivalent about him, really. When I first came across him, I just thought he was a pure dick, but he is slowly winning me over. He seriously knows his stuff, and he is dedicated to the League and thus is not just one of the Premiershite suck-ups. But he is such a wanker when he is commentating - all those unnecessary puns and excessive or far-too-extended metaphors. If he just dropped that silliness, I could like him more.

And he predicted us to win the play-offs and be promoted this season.

I saw the article in the paper and it is indeed a good one. He also went onto talk about us a little bit on Chris Moyles on Friday after being prompted (to his credit) by Comedy Dave. He said that we didn’t play that well and neither did QPR but we would finish top 7-8. But he did praise Leon Knight. As his comments seem pretty similar to what that idiot Mullery said today I think his Mirror article was somewhat of and improvement.
