nah - frankly I don't give a toss about Reading...

Doesn't quite scan either. 
Apart from the fact this doesn't scan, there is one other problem with this rhyme - we are not Reading's rivals.
In fact, Reading have no proper rivals. Ever since their traditional rivals, Aldershot, dropped out of the league they've scoured other local clubs pleading to generate some sort of dislike. They've tried both Oxford and Swindon but neither are interested in piddly plastic Reading and their nouveau Chelsea-loving crowds. They're too bothered with each other. They had a spat with Bournemouth not long ago (now there's a made-to-measure rivallry if ever you saw one) but that seems to have gone off the boil. QPR were being bothered by them not so long ago. The battle of the hooped R's. Some battle - a bit like whose the better blue and red stripes, Palace or Barcelona?
So now it's us. Like all these other clubs, we'll end up hating them while it suits us but in the end, they're a tin pot outfit who can barely half fill their stadium. We'll embarass them when Falmer is eventually built. Long term, Aldershot is about their level.
