Overall the day was a complete success!
We left Brighton at 10.30 with various Falmer posters on the windows so people could see how they could help. Got a few toots and waves in support of us, including one guy who leaned out of his window to applaud us on the M25! Got some stick at the services from some Oldham and Fulham fans, but is to be expected!
Arrived at 1.15. Had a quick kick about with some children when we arrived, got a couple to sign and then started making our way through the car park towards the ground. Pretty much everyone was completely in support of us and happy to help. They all told of how they had been the through the same. Quickly ran out of letters so had to get the club to photocopy some more for us (about the only useful thing they did though). Some stewards then tried to stop us, but big boss steward then told them to leave us alone and signed his letter for us. Left a few letters and leaflets with their supporters club people. We kept collecting letters until about 2.50 when we ran out altogether. We were helped immensely by one of their supporters club people (I think he was anyway). He stood with us and made sure everyone who passed got a leaflet or signed a letter. Big thanks to him.
There was nothing in their programme or mentioned at half time (though we did try and make it onto the pitch). Thanks to their Chairman though who was more than happy to help and sign a letter for us.
Inside the ground...
. We were forced to take off our shirts so they didn't think we were Huddersfield fans. They took away our big banners as: a. they could be weapons
and b. they could be seen as being political adverts

. People around us in the first half ignored our attempts at starting songs. We then moved down to the front for the 2nd half to try and get Lee Steele to pose with us while he was warming up. He came on though as we got there so it wasn't really worth it. Grouse was in singing voice however and kept up constant Brighton songs. A fat Burberry twat a few rows back and his friends didn't like that however and threatened to kill the "Brighton c**ts", so we thought it would be a good time to leave and take Brighton stuff off my car windows!
Once they had all gone we went back to pick up our stuff, before heading into the executive bar thanks to a friend of Catherine and James (name to be confirmed and the full harris on here). We had a look round in the boxes and waited hopefully for Steele to come out but no luck. As we were walking through the car park though I noticed Crosby standing around, shortly joined by Steele. We then ran across the car park shouting his name, which probably scared him!! They were both pleased to see us all and we very nice. (I think the others know more precisely what was said). Crosby left with some leaflets (we were out of letters), and I've got a great picture of the moment.
We then got back to the car and were about to drive off as someone walked past the car. Biscuit opened the window to give him a leaflet, to which the guy replied, "I used to play for them". We all then rushed back out of the car to pose for more photos, with Kieran O'Regan(can't remember for sure, played in the '83 Cup run, was on the bench in the semi). He was pleased to see us and also very nice. He was there doing commentary for Huddersfield, and left with leaflets-promising to mention it all on the radio up there in Leeds.
Lots of very odd photos taken on the way home but it was a memorable day. We have returned with 223 signed letters and various post codes etc. We gave out well over 1000 leaflets. We would probably been able to get even more done but we were over-run with people wanting to sign at times and we had to keep getting more letters photocopied.
Thank you to everyone who helped us and well done to everyone today!
