[Football] Newcastle's subs today

Maybe I've missed a rule change around the number of allowed subs but I thought it was five - with some conditions around bringing them on within three stoppages. So how come Newcastle put six on today ?

Haven’t seen but assume there was concussion sub.

To elaborate: while it was the Villa keeper that was concussed, if a team uses a concussion sub, their opponents are allowed another substitution to even things up.
