Apparently on Sky yesterday Graeme Souness described Eric Bailly as not knowing whether it was New York or New Year: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Eric-Bailly-Manchester-United-defenders.html
This line must have been inspired by the wonderful Nick Lowe song 'The Beast in Me'. Although, I would see Souness as more of an aficionado of the Johnny Cash version. It made me wonder what other lines from songs could describe people or situations in football.
Here's one that kept springing to mind during Frank De Boer's time at Palace:
"The temptation to take the precious things we have apart to see how they work,
Must be resisted for they never fit together again."
