New shirt

I was on holiday when the new shirt was unveiled. Was there been an official statement from the club for the change in colour?

My thought is that it is to promote greater sales - the recent 3 or 4 have all been very similar, with a lot of people preferring the centenary shirt. Probably the only way they could encourage people to buy the new shirt was to make a more significant change - & they knew they wouldn't get away with losing the stripes!

Can anyone comment?

I don't think there was a statement from the club about why they changed the colours of our strip but Nathan Jones is quoted as saying "I think it's an excellent design; it's an improvement on the last shirt and the livelier blue fits in with the Brighton personality. It's certainly one of the most fashionable shirts in the League and I am sure our fans will enjoy wearing it."

Thanks DP - not much of an endorsement from someone who is open about owning a pink balaclava!
