new season tickets

dont know if this has been mentioned, but there is a nice story on the OS about a guy overcoming his struggle with bowel cancer and being given his season ticket for the west stand by gus. but in the picture, the ticket he's being given, looks just like the tickets we get now, except red instead of blue. i thought the season tickets were all going to be swipe cards? have i got this wrong?
