According to Insider, the Forest programme covered the new scholars intake for next season. Apparently this news is not worthy of the website, which is somewhat strange considering how reliant we have become on our youth team products.

Anyway, as a far-flung supporter without immediate access to the programme, would somebody be kind enough to post who the next crop of youngsters are?

I can do this tonight when I get back from the pub, if no-one has volunteered beforehand.

Sorry AZ - That was a ground breaking trip to the pub, four days solid!

The stars of the future...

Chris Brencher - Versatile R/L defender. He has been with us for 6 years.

Steve Brinkhurst - From Lewes. Broke his collar-bone last summer, but getting back into things. Striker by trade.

Steve Cook - Defender from Hastings. Hit a bit of a flat spot, but coming of age this year.

Lewis Ide - Midfielder from Chichester. Released from U11s, but resigned at U14 level, due to his sterling work and drive to become a pro.

Peter Martin - Striker who has been with us for 18 months. Six foot tall and improving all the time.

Josh Pelling - Hastings goalkeeper.

Oliver Rowe - Late starter - Only just joined us having been spotted playing Sunday morning football. An Eastbourne lad.

Liam Upton - A lot of natural ability and can play as a holdup man or off the shoulder of a strike partner.

That concludes the summary. No details given on ages.

Two of our jfc's schoolboys (14 years old) have signed for the Albion so it would be nice to see their piccies up on the web as a well done to them for making it.

They're not Scholars (yet) though are they? That's not until they're 16. Up to that age the Albion operate a revolving door policy, kids seem to be signed and released all the time.
