Why can't we do stuff like they do in other countries? In Japan (pic below) they raise up the trams onto stilts to avoid congestion below.

These high-speed trains run on just one rail (halving the cost) whilst going twice the speed of "duorails."

If our council had a bit of vision we'd be zooming to the Amex on one of these.

No one in government in this country has vision, whether they are Tory , Labour or any other political party

The Pavilion Line is already getting on my nerves.
You should care! The West Hove line rarely runs and services to Mill Hill are often cancelled.

And the number of letters I receive from people in Surrenden Crescent asking why they don’t have a stop is obscene!

In fairness to the club - the ground work always takes longer. I expect the actual development building will come partially pre-fabbed and a bit Ikea in it's make up - almost pre-built off site and put into place in pieces fairly quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up quite fast once the ground works are completed.
Some of us have been saying this for a while, and while some posters are obviously having a joke, I really think some are deliberately looking for things to complain about, the club have said why there was a delay, have said it is planned for later in the season. Although there doesn't appear to be much progress from the pictures, I ride past every few days and there is quite a lot going on with noticeable differences every few days. As you say, once the foundation is in, I expect the actual structure to be brought in and bolted on very quickly when they are ready

Guys my post was not in fact a real life japanese high speed monorail which goes twice as fast as a "duorail" at half the cost.

It was a photo of the monorail at Chessington World of Adventures.

TwoChoicesTom is absolutely right, we need a monorail like he saw in Japan. (Great pics).

And while we're at it, when is Fiveways getting an underground stop? At the moment I have to get off at Hollingbury Park and walk down the hill.

Done a Frexit, now in London
What's the completion date for this monstrous carbuncle again? Ah yes, 2024/25.

I doubt very much it will make a difference to the train chaos at every game. We'll see.

I'm still unconvinced that a third platform for a short formation shuttle service could not be built at Falmer and Brighton.

And as others have said, a tram service up the Lewes Road would be great.

Add in and underground, and we're done!

My best mate used to be the FD at Chessington and the Monorail went right past his office window. When he gave us free tickets we always made a point of going on it several times and making a variety of gestures towards him.

Surely the (top of) Preston Drove stop? But you’re right, should be named Fiveways.

I think we might be missing a trick here. Monorails are so last century and should be left to rust in Chessington or Beaulieu. With our forward looking board I would expect some kind of futuristic transport like a hyperloop or maglev. Something expensive and unproven is the way to go.

Well blow me down you're right. I've lived here for over thirty years and I'd never noticed that before. All these years I've been going one stop too far! :dunce:

We could link up with MomCorp and install some transport tubes.

Infinite improbability drive.
