with the hype that has surrounded the new home kit and its related controversy, questions need to be answered.

A few years back Colchester - Yes Colcheater fans could vote on the web for their preferred kit.

It's not rocket fuel technology but pretty basic customer service to give fans a choice.

Why our chairman feels compelled to be a kit designer as well I'll never no.

Yep, a two page spread in the "matchday magazine" or on the website shouldn't be too difficult. Didn't Liverpool do something similar a few years back?

i know plymouth fans are regularly consulted as to a preferred kit. shame they can't change the sponsor though!

Even if they limited it to season ticket holders or ASM only in voting would be nice to have a say.

I think the club have done OK so far with Errea and SKINT.
The latest shirt was the best selling ever.
The new one is nice.
The club can't please everyone.

agreed. blue and white (tho this wasn't of course any managerial decision) is a stylish and striking combination. skint is a new and trendy organisation and errea is a company from the home of fashion - italy - and i believe they make (or, at least, made) middlesborough's strip.

Totally agree with you. I think we've had some quality shirts these last few years. Ceratinly light years ahead those manky old "Super League" things we wore not so long ago... I just think having a list of options to vote on might be quite a nice idea.

I think we should be consulted. I agree that the last few home shirts have been top notch but I think the yellow shirt and the previous years red bat shirt were pretty poor.

If the club had consulted the fans for these away strips sales could have been improved even further.

Yes, because I'm sure that a lot of people would've voted to have the club badge on the kit instead of the seagull.

Like everyone else, I'd love to see the Albion wearing my design, but that's not the same as putting it to the vote.

You can't trust public opinion - just look at the most popular newpapers, TV, music, radio etc etc in the UK. *shudder*

wolves did this for there new kit they put 5 home shirts and 5 away shirts and the fans got to vote for what they wanted to be seen in for the next season. it wouldn't be hard to come up with a way for brighton to do the same.

is there a new away kit for next year? if so, does anyone know of the design/colour?

clubs are only allowed to change kits every 2 years, most do it like us changing a kit a season ie home one year then away the next, so we'll have the yellow away for another season then it'll change for 2005/6

Actually the yellow kit is going to become a third kit and we are going to have a new away kit. There was talk in the argus sometime ago about this being a red kit.
